What sets the Russian Art Week apart from many other projects is its impartial and comprehensive Expert Council. Here, there are no random assessments or superficial views: every work submitted to the competition is judged by professionals of the highest level.
The jury of the project is a truly international assembly of experts, numbering more than fifty people. Among them are recognized art historians, curators, gallerists, and artists not only from Russia, but also from Europe, Asia, and America.
This geography is no coincidence: art knows no borders, and its evaluation must be as broad and multifaceted as art itself.Interestingly, the evaluation process itself is as diverse as the jury. Some experts personally come to the exhibition halls to contemplate the works in their true volume and texture. Others work remotely, carefully studying photographs of the works to deliver their competent judgment.
But what makes this expertise truly representative is the deep involvement of each jury member. Experts do not evaluate everything indiscriminately: they choose for their work exactly those sections and nominations that resonate with their professional interests, experience, and research preferences. And crowning this harmonious system is the chairman of each section — an undisputed authority in their field. Their word becomes not just a voice, but a standard of quality for an entire direction.
Thanks to this, each participant receives not an abstract checkmark, but a maximally balanced, honest, and professional evaluation of their work — an evaluation that can truly be trusted.
The jury list is being formed: Russia, Indonesia, Germany, Belarus, India, Peru, Russia, China, Mongolia, Serbia, Australia.
